Use it on fish, or fresh vegetables such as onion rings, mushrooms, eggplant, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, squash and green beans.
In a bowl, mix the tempura mix and water with a spoon until a smooth batter is formed.
Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan. Dip each tilapia cube into the tempura batter to coat completely, and then dip into the mixed sesame seeds. Fry tilapia cubes over a medium-high flame for approximately 3 minutes on each side, or until completely cooked through.
Dip the vegetables into the tempura batter, and fry in oil on medium-high flame for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
Alternately thread tilapia and vegetables onto the skewers.
Mix all dipping sauce ingredients together in a bowl, and serve alongside skewers, or drizzle on top.
